Awarding of Credit
   

Under the Tech Prep articulation agreement, the following conditions of articulation must be met for credit to be awarded.

1.01 The student will be a high school graduate who has completed a Tech Prep program, and has received a Tech Prep transcript designation( "A" must be placed on transcript for each tech prep course taken).


1.02 The student must meet all Weatherford College general and program admissions requirements and be officially enrolled at Weatherford College to be eligible for credit via articulation.


1.03 The student must have an official high school transcript on file with the Weatherford College Student Services office.


1.04 The student must have successfully completed the articulated course(s) in high school and received a grade of eighty percent (80%) or better in order for credit to be awarded.


1.05 The student must initiate an official degree plan within the specified technical major with the appropriate Weatherford College counselor at the time of enrollment.


1.06 At the time of enrollment the student will meet with the Tech Prep Director for the purpose of evaluating the official high school transcript. Articulation credit will be recommended by the Director based on the stated conditions of the Articulation plan.


1.07 The student must enroll at Weatherford College within twenty-eight (28) months of high school graduation. Credit for high school courses taken beyond the twenty-eight (28) month limit may be granted through petition to the appropriate instructional dean.


1.08 The student must successfully complete their first semester before credit will be articulated.


1.09 In addition to the courses for which students are granted credit by the Articulation plan, students may also receive credit for courses through procedures that are already in place such as the American College Testing (ACT) program, Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT), College Level Examination Program (CLEP), and challenge examination. Details of these procedures are in the college catalog or may be obtained from a counselor.
